Space

Since the beginning of time mankind has been fascinated by space. He has often looked out to try to understand the infinity of space. The stars have been studied for many years and have been used for orientation purposes. Galileo studied the stars for many years, and the different planets in our solar system. He even invented the telescope in order to view outer space better. With his studies he tried to prove to the Vatican that the earth was not the center of the world, and that we orbited around the sun. This fascination for space has enabled many discoverys and technology developments. Such as satelites which now enable us to have phone communications in nearly any place in the world, and it is the same with television. It has also benefited the aircraft industry and especially the military. Because the technology for outerspace is so advanced it has enable many advances concerning planes and high altitude flying.

We are now able to send people into space, to discover more about the univers that we live in. We have always wandered if we were alone, or if there are other living beings somewhere else. This question has created many fictional stories and even pushed some to believe that aliens exist and have actually already visited our planet. For example many films have benn done concerning extraterrestrial invasion, or wars between humans and aliens. Some people even claim to have met such aliens and experienced outerspace phenomenas. There is a sect which believes in such events and also claims to have the technology to clone humans.

However we cannot jet prove such events. We are still sending astronautes into space to carry on studying. Mankind has only set foot on the moon, and no life was found there except for frozen water. But who knows, maybe one day we will be able to visit other planets such as mars or jupiter. NASA has already managed to send out robots to Mars, but no significant discovery has been made so far. But one thing is for sure, if life is possible on earth, it is then physicaly possible and mathematicaly probable that in the infinity of the univers, in an other solar system, that a planet just like ours exists, with similar conditions, which therefore could enable life. We have jet to find this planet and it is the biggest dream of most space specialists.
